My Babies!

Drew and Ethan LOVE to go for a walk. It doesn't matter where we go, whether it's to the park (Drew's favorite place in the world) or to get the mail. I have the cutest babies ever!

On a side note, it's fun to watch these two interact. You can tell that Drew is going to be the leader and Ethan will follow along. Gavin and I are already picturing the instigating that will take place with Drew and then giving us the eyes, saying, what did I do wrong?

And off he goes.....

Yesterday was President's day and we had a blast spending most of the day at the Park. Austin has been putting off learning to ride a bike, as he has said that he is scared of falling. We have tried countless times, and finally just came to the conclusion, that when he's ready, he's ready.
Yesterday he decided to be ready. As we were getting ready to leave the park Austin grabs Zoe's bike and tells Gavin he's ready to ride a bike. Gavin says ok and they go to a hill in the park and Gavin pushes him down the hill on the bike. With no problems off Austin goes. Austin heads home on the scooter he came on, grabs his bike and starts riding? I guess he woke up this morning and thought...today I'm going to ride a bike? Who knows that was going through that tiny little head of his, but it clicked. We are so proud of him! Way to go Austin!!!!

Austin My Little Indian

Austin is the sweetest thing on this earth. This last November for Thanksgiving he was an indian in his reading class play. Gavin and I had the opportunity to go in and watch him as they performed for another reading class. It was the cutest thing ever. I am so proud of my son and who he is. I forgot to post his cute picture and now finally getting around to it. Austin is one of the greatest blessings of my life! He gets all of his good looks from him mama!

Liam's Laundry tips!

So this morning as the boys are getting dressed we hand them their clothes. Jared is handed a striped shirt that is navy blue, light blue and pink. The shirt has always had pink in it and he has never made a comment about it until today.

He says, "This is a girl's shirt!" Gavin reiterates that it is not and that he has worn it several times in the past. Liam then pipes up and says, "Jared, it's been washed in red, that's why it's pink."

What a great way to start the morning. They crack me up!

Sweet Little Jared!

Sometimes I worry that we aren't doing enough to teach our children correct principles, especially with Zoe, Liam and Jared being in the situation that they are in, having to go between two homes. However today I felt like we were doing ok.....

Ethan has been extremely ill over the last week. It has progressively gotten worse to the point that I took him to the doctor. My suspicion came true when I found out he has RSV and croup. We have been fortunate enough of not having a temperature until today. Needless to say, I have been a little stressed out with a sick baby. Today in the car as I was on my way home from picking up the abuterol treatments, Jared out of know where says, "Ashley, you don't need medicine for Ethan!" I asked him why he would say that? He then goes on to tell me, "Ethan doesn't need medicine, he just needs a prayer, and Heavenly Father will make him all better!"

He actually does listen! Yeah for our team!

Eight is Great! And Gavin was Late....

Sunday night we had our "Eight is Great" Fireside for the kids turning eight...which happens to include Austin and Jared. I had to go early as I needed to help set up. I took with me, Ethan, Jared and Zoe. It started at 7:00pm and Gavin had no excuse to be late as everyone was ready to go by 6:30 except Drew. So when 7:15 rolled around and there was no Gavin, I wasn't sure if I should panic, or be mad. I went out to the car and checked the cell phone and sure enough there were 3 missed calls. The last of which was at 7:02. I tried calling the house several times and no answer. Now I start to panic so I drive towards home. About 1/4 of the way home I see a man with a Snugglie on his chest riding a bike with a larger than average baby on board, a little boy riding a bike behind him and to follow a boy going as fast as he can on a scooter to keep up with the bikes. I flipped around and sure enough it was Gavin and the boys. Gavin asked me if I had his keys, as I am constantly loosing mine. I didn't and he then was relieved that he didn't have to give me the lecture that he had prepared for me on the way over.

I got Drew and Austin in the car and Gavin and Liam continued on bike. They were 20 minutes late, but they got there. The primary presidency handed out beautiful white towels with the letters CTR embroidered in a light blue to each of the children, along with a journal for each of the children to remember their baptism. We also served everything white....White sheet cake, white Jordan almonds, yogurt pretzels and yogurt raisins.

It was such an awesome experience and I am so excited that two of our boys are making the decision to be baptized. I am very proud of both of them!

Side note.....Gavin did find his keys....In his backpack for school. He had put them in a different pocket that he usually doesn't use. Serves him right :) I still love you honey!

One Proud Wife

Isn't he so cute? This is Gavin on his way to his first day Of Law School. What can I say, I'm proud. He has worked so hard to get here and we have finally made it! He was so excited as he left. He had orientation on Saturday and it really put him at ease. He feels very strongly that he made the right decision on his choice of school. The kids are very proud of their Dad. Zoe has already asked if he can sue people?
