Sense of Relief......

We are sad that we aren't making a move but SO relieved we don't have to pack. It was a little blow to Gavin as he wasn't accepted to either schools, but on the other hand, we believe that whatever is suppose to happen will happen. There are some awesome internships next summer that he is applying for.

Things have been crazy around here. The boys have officially made the move to South Carolina. Zoe is at summer theatre camp until next Saturday. Comes home and makes her official move on Tuesday the 3rd of August. Gavin and I are also leaving that day to drive our kids to Utah, and fly out to DC for Gavin's little brothers wedding. We are looking forward to the trip without children, but dreading the drive to Utah. I am then returning to Utah and Gavin is going to Arizona. I will stay up there for a week and this will be my first official drive by myself with the three boys.

Austin is excited about starting 3rd grade and I am hyperventilating that I have a 3rd grader. Drew and Ethan are as funny and cute as they come. We love our kids and are so thankful for each one of them and their sweet little personalities.

He's Going BANANAS!!!!!!

Ethan was sitting in his high chair the other morning and Gavin had given him a banana. I had just woken up and Gavin was on his way out so I wasn't paying too much attention of what was going on. I walk into the kitchen and this is what I found. I guess his one banana just wasn't working for him!

Happy Birthday Drewbee Doo!

We celebrated Drew's Birthday last Saturday. I am running late posting about it. He got a new ride, a super cool quad that we can't seem to get him off of. He LOVES it. We also had a yummy ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins. We have turned a Baskin Robbins ice cream cake into a tradition. They always are so yummy and do an awesome job!

It was a pretty low key party because earlier in the week we were in the ER with Ethan as he had his first official Asthma attack. That was a scare. His O2 stats wouldn't get above 87 at the doctors office. So finally we ended up at the emergency room. 3 breathing treatments and a steroid shot later, he was bouncing off the walls! He is doing great but we have to keep a close eye on him.

Gavin also finished up his finals for this semester. I think this was the most emotionally stressful set of finals he has ever had. Especially since these have to really be knock it out of the park, good grades! We are working on the transfer applications and it is such a tedious process that if we can make it through these, there should be no reason they don't accept him into their programs. I am proud of him regardless of what happens. He is such an incredible example to this family.

Here we go!

We got a call last Saturday morning and Andrea's father-in-law had taken a turn for the worse so she has moved up her date to move. We have a house full for the next 3 1/2 months. The kids have been OK with the situation and have been really good with the transition. We are starting a routine so that mornings, homework and bedtime all go smoothly. I am still trying to wrap my brain around everything, but as long as I can keep up with the house and laundry, then I'll survive!

On another note, Gavin's last class is tonight. Then it's crunch time with finals. The applications are slowly being completed. Tomorrow we will continue with getting the Letters of Recommendation requests going out. We are excited of this possible change, but totally OK with staying in AZ as we love where we live, the schools and the ward we are attending. Keep your fingers crossed that we can make it through this oh so crazy summer in ONE piece!

Big Changes in our Home....

No, I am not pregnant. Heaven help us all! A couple weeks ago Gavin was approached by his Ex-wife about moving to South Carolina with the children. Any typical day Gavin would let her make her argument, thank her for sharing her thoughts and say absolutely NOT!

Well, she must have caught Gavin on a good day. OK so it wasn't quite like that. I had been up to Utah during that week. I needed a "break" from reality. As most of you know the situation in Arizona gets a little hotter than I would like it to be. I was able to spend some time with my family and some time at the temple. I love going to the temple because for a brief moment I am taken out of the hustle and bustle of the World and have complete peace. Anyways, to make a long story short it started to make Gavin and I think about what we wanted for our future. The next day the phone call came and it happened to align with some of the plans that we were thinking. It was crazy but it all made sense. Gavin was torn because he as the Father, wants what is best for his kids. So after a lot of soul searching, and spending his own time in the temple came to the realization that the kids would be OK whether they stayed or went.

Now that's after the negotiating of course. And that came today. We couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. I am hoping that this will strengthen my relationship with Andrea for the sake of the children. There is nothing I've wanted more than just that from day one. Unfortunately it takes us living in two different states to make that happen.

Anyways, I have a feeling my house will be staying a little cleaner and I will have to buy less clothes! Holy Cow, clothing SIX kids gets expensive! With that being said, my heart is filled with sadness as I think about how much I am going to miss those three little munchkins!

So here's the plan....Gavin is going to "try" to transfer to BYU. We will live with my awesome parents for the remaining two years and then our ultimate goal is to move back to the GREAT STATE OF TEXAS! I miss it so very much, Gavin loves it and we would be close to his family as his brother and sister both live in Houston. And if we go that would seal the deal for Gavin's parents and they would head that way also.

Cross your fingers folks! We have a bumpy road ahead of us!

Happy Birthday Liam!!!!

I can't believe that Liam turns 10 today! Holy Cow, where has time gone???? It was just yesterday that he came and snuggled up to me for the very first time when he was just turning 5!!!! I count my blessings every day to have such great kids. We are so glad you are a part of our family Liam! We love you so very much!!!!
