Snuggle time with sister

Every morning Ethan comes into our bedroom. And every morning we have the same routine. First he asks for a sippy, then he crawls into bed and snuggles with his baby sister. He talks to her and tells her how much he loves her. This is as soft as it gets with her, because the rest of the day I have to keep an eye on him that he's not trying to be too big of a helper to mommy or loving his sister to death. I know his intentions are in the right place! I'm just grateful he loves Deli as much as he does!

What to Title This.....

I don't even know what to say as the pictures should speak for themselves. I guess Ethan thought he could pump too because mommy was? Who knows what goes through this kids mind, but he sure is a cutie!

Adele's Blessing

My sweet baby girl was blessed by Gavin last Sunday. It was a very tender moment for our family as this was the last baby blessing. Gavin did an amazing job and so happy to be married to a man that honors his priesthood and is such an amazing father and husband. We had a ton of family here. It was somewhat crazy as I had my gallbladder out 3 days previous, but it had to be done. We only attended Sacrament meeting and then headed home where just as family had a brunch. It was awesome to visit with the Sanchez family and here how every one was doing. Gavin then headed to the airport to pick up Zoe, Liam and Jared. Later that afternoon we had The Johnsons, Leavitts and Guthries over for a dinner. It was so much fun to visit with them. We are blessed to have such great friends. And even more blessed to have such an awesome family. I can't even begin to tell you how grateful I am for the knowledge of eternal families!!!

Latest Baby Happenings....

I am now 35.5 weeks pregnant....yes, still pregnant. I contracted this weekend harder than I have ever contracted with any of my other kids while at home and no progression.(24 hours straight) They felt as strong as when I was about to have my epidural with my boys at a 7! I am now on my 3rd OB, as Dr. McKernan has retired because his health is prohibiting him to practice anymore. I think I've cried over that more than the pain of this pregnancy. So I switched to his newest partner Dr. Melissa Austin. When I met with her in the office I felt OK about everything. But when I was in L&D having contractions every three minutes, not progressing and in need of some type of reassurance from my Dr. She walks right past my room, stops turns around and continues to walk...knowing I am there. Then has the nurse come tell me she doesn't have time for me and she would see my in the office in the morning.....WRONG! So now I am on Dr. McKernan's original partner Dr. Folkstead who has been practicing with him for the last 19 years. Nice guy, but still not living up to my expectations. He talks a 100 words a minute and two days later I am still processing everything he said because it felt like a whirl wind of an appointment.

I also met with the general surgeon about my gallstones etc and he was more than happy to do the surgery right after I have the surgery so that it is all done at the same time. I will have baby and then have the gallbladder out.

I meet with the perinatologist on Tuesday of next week to decide about possibly inducing. I was told that I could go as early as 37 weeks but that would be up to them. I've been told a lot of things so who knows anymore.

My goal at this point in time is to trust that the Lord will bless us and that the baby will come when she is suppose to come. It has been very stressful as we worry about Gavin's classes, my mom being in town and leaving before this baby comes, having my gall bladder surgery and having strength to take care of my family. I just remind myself that the Lord has ALWAYS been mindful so why would he stop now. I guess you can say the Natural Man comes through instead of having the faith that I should.

Happy Birthday Drewbee Doo!

Drew will officially be FOUR tomorrow, but we are celebrating today. We were suppose to do a super fun birthday party at Chuck E Cheese, but with the Curtis luck, the stomach flu has hit our home and said party has been cancelled! We will reschedule once all of the craziness in this house calms. Gavin has finals this week and I am just waiting patiently (well not too patiently) for this baby to come.

Drew was so cute as he opened his gifts. He and Ethan are so close he was concerned that Ethan had a gift to open also. Good thing I thought ahead and bought two of a similar toy so that each had one. Drew handed him the gift and told him he needed to open up his gift too. They got additional cars for the movie cars for their Geotrax. They play with them for hours. Our next purchase for them is the bigger set to add to the already massive set. That will be Ethan's Birthday. I always knew that these two sweet little spirits would be close, but never imagined this close. It's just another proof to me that the Lord knows all things and these children come on the LORD'S TIME....not ours!

Isn't she Beautiful!!!

Tuesday I had my 3D ultra sound and 32 week appointment. Baby Bean looked awesome! She is weighing in at 4 pounds 7 ounces. She is a little ahead of schedule with her gestational size but nothing to major! Ethan was the same way. And he was born at 34.5 weeks weighing in at 6.8 pounds. So it actually is a sense of relief she is ahead of schedule. They had me laying flat on my back and during the ultra sound I got light headed and almost past out. Not a fun experience, but I made it through! Then on to see my OB. I'm still sitting at my happy little 1, but have effaced 50%. So progress is slow, but that's OK! Dr. McKernan is very optimistic she will be here in the next 3 weeks. I have been contracting like crazy off and on, so we'll see.

When I saw the ultra sound of my sweet little girl, I fell even more in love with her. I am not a huge fan of the 3d ultra sounds because their noses always look way bigger than they actually are and it kind of freaks me out. But the cheeks just put me over the edge....and then there are her cute little lips! HELLO......How much more kissable can they get? We are so excited about welcoming her from my tummy to our arms!
