Here we go!

We got a call last Saturday morning and Andrea's father-in-law had taken a turn for the worse so she has moved up her date to move. We have a house full for the next 3 1/2 months. The kids have been OK with the situation and have been really good with the transition. We are starting a routine so that mornings, homework and bedtime all go smoothly. I am still trying to wrap my brain around everything, but as long as I can keep up with the house and laundry, then I'll survive!

On another note, Gavin's last class is tonight. Then it's crunch time with finals. The applications are slowly being completed. Tomorrow we will continue with getting the Letters of Recommendation requests going out. We are excited of this possible change, but totally OK with staying in AZ as we love where we live, the schools and the ward we are attending. Keep your fingers crossed that we can make it through this oh so crazy summer in ONE piece!

Big Changes in our Home....

No, I am not pregnant. Heaven help us all! A couple weeks ago Gavin was approached by his Ex-wife about moving to South Carolina with the children. Any typical day Gavin would let her make her argument, thank her for sharing her thoughts and say absolutely NOT!

Well, she must have caught Gavin on a good day. OK so it wasn't quite like that. I had been up to Utah during that week. I needed a "break" from reality. As most of you know the situation in Arizona gets a little hotter than I would like it to be. I was able to spend some time with my family and some time at the temple. I love going to the temple because for a brief moment I am taken out of the hustle and bustle of the World and have complete peace. Anyways, to make a long story short it started to make Gavin and I think about what we wanted for our future. The next day the phone call came and it happened to align with some of the plans that we were thinking. It was crazy but it all made sense. Gavin was torn because he as the Father, wants what is best for his kids. So after a lot of soul searching, and spending his own time in the temple came to the realization that the kids would be OK whether they stayed or went.

Now that's after the negotiating of course. And that came today. We couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. I am hoping that this will strengthen my relationship with Andrea for the sake of the children. There is nothing I've wanted more than just that from day one. Unfortunately it takes us living in two different states to make that happen.

Anyways, I have a feeling my house will be staying a little cleaner and I will have to buy less clothes! Holy Cow, clothing SIX kids gets expensive! With that being said, my heart is filled with sadness as I think about how much I am going to miss those three little munchkins!

So here's the plan....Gavin is going to "try" to transfer to BYU. We will live with my awesome parents for the remaining two years and then our ultimate goal is to move back to the GREAT STATE OF TEXAS! I miss it so very much, Gavin loves it and we would be close to his family as his brother and sister both live in Houston. And if we go that would seal the deal for Gavin's parents and they would head that way also.

Cross your fingers folks! We have a bumpy road ahead of us!

Happy Birthday Liam!!!!

I can't believe that Liam turns 10 today! Holy Cow, where has time gone???? It was just yesterday that he came and snuggled up to me for the very first time when he was just turning 5!!!! I count my blessings every day to have such great kids. We are so glad you are a part of our family Liam! We love you so very much!!!!

New Beginnings....

Our sweet Zoe had New Beginnings tonight. I can't begin to tell you the pride I felt as I watched her up front as they introduced her to the other Young Women. She is such a good girl, always trying to do what is right! She has been placed in our family for a very special reason. She just doesn't see it yet as she is the only girl and things the world is coming to an end because of that fact. I don't have a daughter of my very own, but would claim her any day! Now to figure out how to get into Girls Camp this year !!!!

Austin's My Little Artist....

Austin had his art show last night. He was so proud of his art as he should be! Let me explain the picture....This is Austin's Dentist, Dr. Hilgers. That is what is on the cape of the super tooth. Then in block letters he wrote, "keep your teeth clean." Just to the left of that is the Mascot of Hilger's Pediatrics which is an alligator. This alligator in the picture is breathing fire out of its mouth. I am so proud of my little artist. He is so stinkin' talented, but then again, I'm his mom and SUPER bias!

No more monkeys jumping on the bed.....

Drewbee, was so excited about Zoe being home that when it was time for her to go to bed, he went into her room to get his last minute play time in. Part of that play time consisted of jumping on the bed. I left the room to tuck Jared in. The next thing I hear is Zoe and Drew screaming. Zoe carries Drew in covered in blood on his little face. I took him to a friend's home whom is a doctor to decide whether stitches were in order. Yup, sure enough we were off to urgent care in which we called before we left to insure that they could do stitches. We got to the urgent care and the doctor comes into the room to tell me he doesn't do stitches on the face. What? Are you kidding me? So we quickly return home to meet my most amazing friend Debbie, who stayed with the kids while Gavin and I went to the Emergency Room that had pediatrics. Drew was perfect. He didn't flinch during the procedure and was so good that they gave him 2 stuffed animals from the special closet instead of one. I thought I would save the yucko pictures and just show you the after once everything was done. Drew is just like his Daddy, so laid back, it makes me laugh.

Boys Scouts and Bobcat

Austin my sweetest 8 year old ever, earned his Bobcat last night. He was super excited! Next month is Pinewood Derby and we are stoked about it! Preparations have begun to make that perfect car. We love you bubbers and are SO proud of you!
